AR had a bad FTE yesterday, thoughts?
My roommate and I took my AR (home built - RRA complete upper, PSA lower, DD LPK) to the range yesterday. After about 150 rounds or so she didn't eject the fired round (maybe 1 or two mags of Remington UMC and the rest silver bear).
Went home, did a take down cleaning (as always) and noticed that the round that didn't eject A) didn't even come out of the chamber/battery at all, and b) had a flat intend on the one side of the bottom of the case (see photos).
As for the firearm itself, aside from being pretty filthy (silver bear isn't the cleanest ammo), there was nothing wrong with the feedramps, chamber, or barrel itself.
Could it be because it is steel cased (right?) perhaps?
This AR hasn't given me any trouble with anything before. This is actually the first problem in maybe 5/600 rounds through her.
