Sunburn and shaving

Hi all, I just purchased my first kit (it's somewhere in the mail) and I realized I probably am going to get sun burnt down here in Texas. Should I handle the skin or prepare different to accommodate for this? Does anyone have any experience to lend advice? Thank you all!
