Pro tip: Don't use a GoT/ASoIaF character as a player name in any game if you don't read the book.

Well I frequently play NHL 12 as I'm pretty good at it and the game has a mode where you create your character. Sometimes I get bored and name my character after something I'm currently interested in. The following story is why you should not name any of your online players as GoT characters. HUGE spoilers are tagged below, if you watch the show exclusively please don't get spoiled like I did. You can still enjoy the story without the spoilers.

So back to the story. Whenever I'm not playing well I get superstitious so I like to change my player name. I changed it to my favorite character thus far, ASOS spoilers ahead and this was fairly uneventful for several weeks until this past week. I was playing a 6v6 game against another team where I was apparently more aggravating than usual as I was playing very physical. After the other team won, I got not one but two messages from guys on the other team revealing that ASOS I was understandably upset, but not wanting to let them know that they won claimed that I was a book reader and that they had not spoiled anything for me.

I'm risking that giving them that satisfaction if they post on this subreddit, but I felt it necessary to pass along my story so that fellow fans don't forget that the internet is filled with dickheads.
