IamA disgruntled bf3 player. i want to play, but rarely can get the game to work.

my average bf3 experience involves a series of failures which escalate in their induction of frustration.

  1. battlelog doesn't remember my log in, sometimes, this one if usually my fault involving deleting cookies/history.

  2. my server filters are all off. again, not a big deal, but the same 4-5 clicks every damn time gets annoying.

  3. now things take a turn. i hit the magical "refresh and save filter" and bam, 3 servers under 80 ping. that are over half full, but not all the way full. this leads me to staring at a list of data clicking a refresh button every few seconds. fun.

  4. a server is spotted!!! woot!! time to own face, past events are forgiven. just go ahead and hit that join button annnnnd que. because the server just got 15 new players in the time it takes me to push the button.

5a. fuck it, go back to step 2.

5b. wait it out. grab a banana, go pee, whatevs, shouldnt be too long.

  1. in no particular order, my antivirus detects punk buster and quaranteens it. the 'joining server' notification turns red and tells me to go fuck myself, or just sits there indefinably not actually launching the game. this typically ends 50% of my "gaming" sessions.

  2. we call this step the "jackpot." now that ive gotten a list of sub-par servers at sub-par ping playing game modes that i dont care-for on maps i dont particularly enjoy i get to "play" bf3. but wait, first i need to close that little pop up that claims i do not have video drivers installed. i click ok, and everything proceeds as usual. after a seemingly arbitrary amount of loading time were in the game! but the rounds almost over. so now we get to sit thew end of round, stats, loading, blah blah, and eventually get spat out into a random map that i didnt know was coming up because there is no decernable next map indicator. but alas, im in bf3.

  3. from here on out, despite having nothing go my way, i get to play the best damn FPS ive ever played in my life. i get transported away into the universe of the game and struggle over objectives, escape narrowly from certain death or set off a revive train that keeps the push going.

i love you dice, but this is not what i payed money for. this is not a respectable service. this is the equivilant of someone ordering a burger and getting a box of fries with a shit in it. i just want to play this game.

go ahead and downvote now, they will make me more powerful than you could possible imagine!!!!!!
