Date in Venice tonight and I'm new to LA, please help! (already searched "date Venice")

Hey everyone!

I moved here not too long ago, and have a date tonight (25 and 26 years old). We went out to Abbot Kinney earlier this week, and are going to Venice tonight. I made a reservation for Hotel Erwin's rooftop bar tonight, and I'm picking her up on my scooter.

I wandered around that area earlier today, and it didn't seem like there were any great date places to go after Erwin, around 10:30-11 PM. I saw James Beach, Cocktail Lounge, Dry Tour, are any of these good for a drink and conversation? I was also thinking a walk on the boulevard or going to the canals would be very cool.

Any ideas would be awesome, thanks!
