Texting to get to know this guy better

and I can't tell if he likes me. I feel like such a dumb little girl! But I don't know where else to turn.

I met this guy through a blogging site and, because he didn't use it all that much, he gave me his number so we could talk more. "However," he cautioned, "I'm not so good at keeping up with texting either. Still, I'm better at it than this or Facebook." (I have him on both regardless.)

Alright, great. Well we were texting every night for a while. It would take a while between texts--like a few hours sometimes--but they're always VERY long winded. Proper letters, haha (minus the "dear" and all :P)

He uses smileys and stuff all the time. And he uses my name a lot (for whatever that's worth).

It's just that the time between his messages has stretched out...a heck of a lot, lol. Like a day or 2 between texts. And they're still sort of verbose but not as much. We have TONS in common, especially musically. And he tends to text me either early in the morning or late at night. (he's two hours ahead of me.) He even told me about this awesome dream he had about me once where we were killing zombies and shit hahaha.

I know I sound really unnecessarily insecure right now but I've just had this happen a lot before--guys showing loads of interest and then having it wane or cease. The difference was that those were specifically "online dating" guys that I MAYBE would wind up meeting down the line, but this guy goes to my college. I haven't moved there yet (I'm a rising freshman) and in fact am not even in the same state. I will be in two months, though.

Aaand I'm trying my best not to be all clingy and weird. But what's the threshold between "clingy" and "encouraging" with someone who is a self-confessed infrequent texter?

I don't know, y'all. Do you think he likes me? Should I say anything or just wait till I'm in college with him? Thanks for letting me ramble in any event. :3
