There was always ONE thing that ticked me off about Skyrim. It could have made it so much better in a subtle way.
Social Status.
I mentioned it a few times in previous comments, but I wanted to put it out there. And I'm sure most of you would agree.
At the very beginning of the game, they treat you like a normal citizen, which is fair enough. But the more.. quests you do, and the more you get into the game they treat you the same. The only thing that changes is some of the remarks the guards say. I mean, if you walked into Solitude with full Daedric armor, (Even a helmet), then you walk past a guard who then says, "Greetings Orc". It kinda ruins the roleplay, and stops yourself immersing with your character and his story. You would expect the guard say, "Oh my.." or "W-who are you?".
it's a little silly how they can identify who you are when you're wearing a helmet.
Maybe if you earn more money, and are notorious for owning money, can earn respect from other NCPs. But these are just examples.
Skyrim is an awesome game. But it would be nice if Bethesda focused on social status a little more. It would make the game so much more enjoyable for people, and it will keep it fresh, and even more enjoyable to start new characters.
