my relationship with women, thus far, as a teenager.
so as i've started so many other posts here, i'm a 17 year old kid, for reference.
i have just been worried recently about how i have viewed women these past few years.
the long and short of it is that every time i've gotten a girlfriend, it's been because i was in the mood to do some outward good, like charity almost, to make them laugh and feel good. but then i eventually get tired, and that's when the relationships end. nothing ever reciprocates.
i view nearly every girl i know as either datable or not. i don't have any close friends who are girls, except my sister. i can function normally around girls, but in forming relationships it seems like i've avoided them.
this could just be coincidence; i choose my close friends very deliberately and the only people i've met who really are similar to me just happen to be guys. not too surprising, i guess.
but really worries me is that i've been talking to a girl recently who i click with more than many people i've ever met, but i'm worried she's not interested - but i know that, in my current mindset, i'd gamble a great friendship for a short relationship in a heartbeat.
so i guess that's what it comes down to: gambling away friendships for relationships. is that...normal? healthy? for a teenage kid?
