Looking for an easy way to launch games from the desktop. Only problem is...

I've got a lot of games, like to the point where anything short of a scroll-able list isn't going to be feasible (Icons just don't make sense anymore, they'd fill the whole screen). I'm sorta shooting for a rough recreation of the left sidebar that Steam uses for your game library, but accessible from the desktop. To the best of my knowledge, Rainmeter doesn't do scroll-bars very well, so I was wondering if anybody on here knew of a program that might be able to get something like this set up. Anybody know of anything?
