Why did the pattern of the inaugural speech change after Roosevelt's second term?

After skimming through most of the president's speeches, I noticed that Roosevelt's third inaugural address has shorter paragraphs compared to his first two and all the previous president's speeches. Ever since, it seems all presidents have followed suit. What made this change?
