Should I get AppleCare?

I purchased a MacBook pro retina today with a student discount and was kind of torn on purchasing AppleCare for $254. I'm sure it's better to normally avoid warranty, but the employee told me how expensive all the components for the retina are and since it's first gen and I only have opportunity to purchase it at student discount right now I should buy it.

On the other hand I used a MasterCard with an extended warranty which doubles apple's warranty. So I have two year warranty for free.

Would you recommend I get AppleCare anyways?
