I've not been able to tolerate much caffeine for some years now. After a few weeks of leangains, suddenly I can tolerate loads of it. What gives?
I used to also have big "blood sugar swings". I use quotes because I wasn't measuring my glucose or anything, I just would often feel weak and dizzy, then I'd eat and feel a bit better. I also used to believe I had to eat every few hours or I'd die. I did get a pre-diabetes warning a year ago, so there were some actual blood sugar issues, I just didn't actually measure it.
Anyway, since doing this program, I'm rock solid all day. No weird blood sugary swings.
Back to the caffeine. I used to drink tons of coffee, all day long. About 5-7 years ago, I became very sensitive to caffeine, to the point where I could only tolerate one cup of half-caff coffee a day, and even that made me shaky and feel shitty. Seriously, I had to be very careful with it.
Within the first week of leangains, I could suddenly drink coffee like I used to. I figured it out after having 5 espressos over a day (don't ask me why I did that). That would have nearly killed me before.
Is it the IF? Or just eating better in general? I tend to think it's IF related, since I've had phases of "eating better" without these effects.
Anyway, whatever in the hell it is, I'm ecstatic about it :D :D :D
