Am I prepared for grigori

Ok so me and my companion re both lvl 37 with our vocations maxed out. I am a assasin and he is a two gander guy thing. I also have a lvl 40 fighter and a lvl 54 mage. Should I go and fight the dragon or should I stick around and lvl up a bit b4 going up.
