Game Etiquette?

I've been running around as a miner, And I've had some people come harvest from the same node as me. twice this has lead to a pre-mature depletion of the node (I.e. Text reads 3 more gathers left, and then immediately followed by node is depleted).

Is harvesting the same node as someone else a violation of etiquette or is it a non issue?
