Night Shift. Is it possible to trick your body into operating exactly 12 hours opposite of the geographical time?

Is it possible to become neurobiologically adapted to a time zone that is exactly 12 hours opposite of the time zone that you physically live in? If so, what conditions must exist to alter hormone release and any other function that occurs with a regular diurnal cycle. Perhaps, exposure to sun light, awareness of AM/PM time function? Thanks.

I am working night shift and trying to figure out a way to keep myself from getting into a mental fog in the early AM hours. I am getting enough rest, approximately 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep with spontaneous awaking (I could get more if my body wanted to) and adequate REM/deep/light sleep monitored with a zeo. I get adequate nutrition/exercise as well. I just feel like in the middle of the night I am tunnel visioned and operating in a dream state, in a sort of autopilot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
