My TW history, and a new beginning.
Rome got me. I will be honest and say that I heard about the series on a history channel show, or maybe it was pbs. I don't really recall, but I was hooked after I got Rome. I was a student, I love history, and that game taught me quite a bit. Rome is where the heart is. FF 5 years to ME2. Having grown up in Germany under the stars and stripes, we traveled like the plague. I am an only child, and I loved the castles/heraldry/history, so we did what I wanted most of the time. My father made me a suit of armor and melee weapons for halloween in 1987 out of file folders. It was so cool!! Anyways ME2 took me back to my childhood, I could not find a fault with it. About a year ago I bought Empire and Napoleon from steam to play on my marginal laptop. All of the systems I have been playing on have been just good enough to play TW games. The games are so good, it did not matter a whole lot if the graphics were pretty basic. After being a student for 8 years, leaving school to work, and coming back to school to finish, I can tell you as a 35 YO that saved up his duckets and studied his ass off to make good money, building my own gaming pc and playing Empire and Napoleon on it was worth the wait. Empire has the campaigns I want, but NP is just freaking stunning to look at. I am hooked all over again. Still no interest in Shogun2, but steam sales happen. As for the next one, I would love the US Civil War, or WW1. Like it matters what it is I am buying it on the release day regardless.
Not sure why I posted this, just for fun I suppose.
