Recruiter told husband to lie at MEPS
I will try to be as specific as possible without giving away any identities. My husband met with a recruiter for one branch of the military. He fractured his wrist when he was a young teen. The recruiter said they had a time constraint and since my husband had never had another problem with that wrist he should not say anything about it at MEPS. That branch of the military did not end up working out and he has chosen another branch. The new recruiter said his MEPS paperwork is still good and he is about to sign his contract. I started reading online about people who have been dishonorably discharged for lying about their medical history. I'm very worried that this wrist fracture could come back to haunt him and he will lose his career. Should he say something to the new recruiter? Would he be penalized or not able to join if he went back to MEPS and told them about the wrist fracture even though he already said he never had a fracture?
