How to view yourself as sexually desirable?

I have trouble with this, and I believe it's hampering my development in relationships with women (dating, asking for number, etc).

I'm told by friends, both guys and girls that I'm good-looking. I am fit and tall. I like to swim, run, and hike. But in my mind, I still can't see myself as sexually desirable. Part of this is being Asian (Filipino) in America. I just can't fathom how an Asian male can be desirable in a culture that has a white male as the standard of attractiveness.
