Question for star wars nerds...

Doesn't "balance to the force" mean an equal amount of jedi exists as sith?

If this is the definition of "balance to the force", isn't that something that the jedi would want to prevent?

If the jedi would want to prevent that, wouldn't they wish to not train anakin or just simply kill him outright?

If the jedi knew he was the "chosen one" why would they actively foster his skills if they knew that balancing the force meant wiping out the jedi?
