Why the fuck are half the comments still getting deleted in every AskScience thread?

Like you think the people who post there would figure their shit out by now. But every time I want to go read some interesting science questions, I see parades of typical reddit content that does not belong in the structure of an AskScience thread and anecdotes out the god damn ass.
