[TOMT][Music] Hot Rod Kid

I've scoured the interbutts looking for this song. I'm not sure if the title is hot rod kid or not but its the main chorus. Looking for name/artist for it. I used to have the record when I was little (80's early 90's) but i know the song is a good bit older because the record was my aunt's.

'Hot rod kid, Hot rod kid, boy he loves to drag' is part of the chorus. Pretty sure the last line is "he had the hottest car around'

It's about a guy who drag races his friend, tries to impress a girl and i think he may die in it? Not sure exactly as I haven't heard it since i was little. Help on this would be awesome!
