Can I use this as shaving soap?

A friend of mine who is getting married got me and the other groomsmen this and a mug. He didn't get anyone brushes which makes me think this is just regular soap...No big deal, I like soap. Was wondering if it would be the same as lets say, me lathering up my Omega Badger brush with a yellow bar of dial soap. Would this be super drying to my skin? The ingredients are on the front of the package, suggestions?
