desktop gamma resetting when opening full screen games

I just hooked up my second monitor, and now when I open a fullscreen game (for example: Skyrim), my desktop gamma gets reset and I have to open the AMD catalyst control center and reset the settings.

It wont reset my desktop gamma when I play games that are fullscreen windowed or just windowed.

Is there any 3rd party software that I could use to work around this?

I have a AMD 6870 with the latest drivers
