Can you do pickup without a social circle?

hey guys. I'm attempting to get over my approach anxiety and make an approach someday, but what's holding me back a lot is that I really don't have hardly any friends here. It's summer break from college and I'm back home and most of my high school friends have faded away or are out of town. I literally have zero social life. How am I supposed to DHV to girls if nobody knows me? I do have self-esteem, confidence, hobbies, and I work out and am trying to improve my body, but I just don't really have any friends.

Should I work on that first before trying to PUA or just jump right in?
