Does your doctor support your dietary choices?

I have been working my way through many of the "veggie" movies (forks over knives, food inc, etc) and I keep coming up with one question:

How on earth do I find a doctor who SUPPORTS a vegetarian, whole foods diet?

My doctor basically just said "take a vitamin and eat greek yogurt". He said some people can eat meat, some people it makes them sick (which, yeah, it makes me pretty sick).

Do you have a doctor who is fully supportive and helps you with your vegetarian lifestyle? How did you find them? Any suggestions on how I can find one?

Thanks.
