Debt advice

Ok /r/ frugal. I am in a bit of a situation. I have probably about 45k in student loan debt that is currently in forbearance and a little bit more that is privately taken that I cannot afford to pay right now. I was young and stupid and incurred a lot of debt (~12k as of right now that I am working on paying off).

I was in grad school (which would have taken care of my student loan problems) but left because of things going on in my life that prevented me from being able to put myself 110% into it.

Currently I am living off of ~33,600k after taxes and only really able to save up 500/month. I want to know if it is better to file for bankruptcy and focus on getting up to date on my student loans (the ones I can't put into forbearance) or trying to pay down my debts and then focus on my loans. Either way it is damaging my credit.

I also might have a default judgement coming my way (cant afford to hire an attorney, and hence the throwaway) anyways in a civil suit coming my way which would obviously force me into bankruptcy. This person will not get a single dime from me. So I'm thinking maybe I should just put off the debts and focus on repaying my student loans?

The problem is that I want to go back to grad school. I have potential and will not settle for such a low income. The problem is that because of my bad credit, how the hell will I even be able to go back to grad school and get loans to fund it? I feel like im in a catch 22. Any advice?

tl;dr My financial life is a catch 22 right now. What should I focus on paying off or just file bankruptcy?
