Shielding and Invulnerability affixes are meant only to needlessly draw out battles for long amounts of time, while the Enrage Timer discourages long battles. This seems incredibly counterintuitive to me- can someone please explain any possible benefits to these 3 mechanics?
Hear me out-- affixes like frozen/arcane/desecrater are great. They're challenging and require quick thinking. As long as you have decent resistances, they present a very fun threat to deal with.
Shielding/Invulnerability are simply meant to needlessly draw out battles for excessive amounts of time, and then the Enrage Timer/insane repair costs is just the added slap in the face if you don't manage to kill the enemy in a short amount of time.
I'm trying to figure out how someone could have possibly thought that shielding/invulnerability were somehow challenging affixes, but then add the Enrage Timer which promotes faster battles. Can someone please explain this logic to me?
