Is it just me, or are people getting really greedy these days?
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the world entitled lost its meaning on the internet. Every time I see it used in gaming, its to get free stuff. Are people that greedy that they are willing to turn and attack their beloved company, Riot, just because some free stuff was being thrown around? The past few days I've seen nothing but threads on the forums asking for things. All of the threads I've seen asking for RP or some sort of reparation because of lost rune pages and such. People have now completely flipped sides and are angry because people who had lost their runepages got 1000 rp and they got nothing.
The main argument I've seen people throw around is that people are being rewarded 1k rp when they haven't even been on to experience the problem due to the server problems.
I scoff at this argument, does anyone actually have any figures on how many people got onto the servers and didn't have any runes? Do any of them know how many players got on, checked if they had any missing stuff and when they realized that their runes were missing they just decided to say fuck it and closed their client? For this argument to be foolproof, NOBODY would have been able to log on. Since no one had logged on, no one had experienced any account related problems.
I never heard any complaints about people receiving 10-win boosts when they may not have even tried to log on in the past two weeks or so, or whatever the case is. All people who could be affected by the server downtimes were given then 10-win boost, so how come when everyone who could have been affected due to the rune/champion loss are compensated there is a problem? Can anyone explain this to me?
I honestly think the players have just gotten greedy.
