Trying to score a film using FLStudio 9.0.3, what video format will actually work in Fruity Video Player? Please Help!

I've been having a nightmare of a time trying to figure out which format to tell the director to send me. I was able to convert a few of the files he sent to MPEG4 .MPG files, but now that method will not work. I am getting quite frustrated. Can someone save the day and tell me the exact way to render a video so it will load AND play correctly. I could score the film using reaper, but I am so much quicker in FL, and its more fun.

I just received an .MPG from the director that will load in FL video player, but will ONLY play if I start from the beginning of the clip?!?!? If I try to start it, say 1 minute in, I get no video.....

I've searched the webz and this forum and have been unable to find an answer. Thanks.
