How it Should Go - Dean Ambrose
There's only one way for this man to come in with the bang he deserves: Mick Foley. Fast forward to the 1000th episode or RAW, where Regal is announced as the permanent GM of Raw, Slater jobs out to The Brooklyn Brawler, Dolph Ziggler vs. Cody Rhodes goes down and DZ turns face, all the bells and whistles for the big 1000. The reason this has to go down after the 1000th episode is because, by this point, Raw will be three hours weekly, so the feud won't feel rushed or not given the time it deserves in place of recaps.
The very next episode, Foley's music hits and he comes down to the ring with a mic, about to cut a promo. Just as he's about to speak, Ambrose's theme plays and he jets down to the ring, kendo stick and crutch in each respective hand, and beats the living shit out of Foley for about seven minutes. For it to be effective, he's gotta be allowed to utilize everything at ringside, similar to Nexus' debut. He leaves Foley lying at ringside and walks out.
I'm honestly not sure what the next PPV after the 1000th episode will be. If it's MITB, have these attacks continue until the Raw the night after MITB. If it's SummerSlam, then have Foley address the attack immediately, after the first one. Ambrose comes out during Foley's address, and says that it is because of Foley's influence that Ambrose has become the sadistic, twisted, deranged, crazy, violent, and psychotic human being that he is. He says that he doesn't want to be the way he is, but because of Mick, he is, and he wants to destroy what created him.
The buildup from there can be similar to Edge/Foley and Regal/Ambrose: through seeing what Ambrose is, Foley remembers what he himself once was, and that something has been awakened inside of him that he hasn't felt in years. Backstage attacks between the two continue over the next few weeks, with Foley getting noticeably more violent and Ambrose being his usual self. The feud culminates in a Hardcore Match at SummerSlam.
This match will be won by Foley. Although having young talents lose usually isn't the best way to get them over, he won't exactly win clean. The match will go down in hardcore fashion, primarily remaining back-and-forth until towards the end, when Foley gains the upper hand. The match finish will go as follows. Ambrose is curled up in a fetal position in the ring, while Foley reigns terror with a chair on Dean. He scrambles out of the ring and grabs a microphone, and gets back in and has a stare down with Mick. Dean drops to his knees and appears to be pleading to Mick. He tells Foley that, since he is the reason for the insanity and instability that Ambrose has, that he must be able to fix it somehow. Foley looks him sympathetically in the eyes for a moment, before swinging the chair atop his head and putting him down for a three count. The announcers put over the fact that Mick would have ordinarily tried to help Dean, but the hardcore Foley that Ambrose was responsible for awakening would never show mercy.
Dean's next appearance would be the next night on Raw. Foley would cut a promo putting him over, saying that Ambrose has a fire and seriously brought the fight at SummerSlam. Cue Jack Swagger, who comes out and gives a cookie cutter heel promo, and whatever he says motivates Regal (Raw GM) to get on the TitanTron and book Swagger vs. Ambrose for later in the night. Dean picks up the win, and totally annihilates Swagger after the match, similar to the beatdown he gave Foley in his debut. This attack further cements Ambrose's status of mental insanity.
Ambrose gets on the mic and claims that it is the fan's fault for encouraging Foley's hardcore style and making him (Dean) the deranged monster that he is. It is crucial that he makes a point of letting the WWE Universe that it is their fault, as they may mistake his attacking Swagger as a face turn. A certain someone will come along at this point, and Ambrose forms an alliance with them.
I'm planning on doing another How it Should Go for that person, and I'll do another one for how the formation of the alliance and their booking as a team should go. I'm not gonna tell you who it is, because their has to be some sort of surprise, right?
If you have any ideas or conflicting beliefs about how Dean's debut should go, please comment them! I love hearing other ideas.
