Moving up to Manhattan

My wife and I are moving to Manhattan! She is getting stationed in Fort Riley and I am excited for the experience! What is fun to do around there? Good bars or anything like that?

I'm also going to have to get employed again, and the only thing that I can find with the "army spouse job finder", is babysitting. I don't think a large chubby guy asking to babysit your child would be the best thing! So if anyone has any knowledge on that front... let me KNOW!
