Hey r/Classicalmusic! What moment made you realize that you KNEW you had to be a musician.
Today I had a rehearsal for a regular church performance on sunday and afterwards, while waiting for my ride, I was talking to the church organist. She offered to let me play her organ. I already knew full well that it was the king of instruments but I wasn't prepared for the force of the sound. She had me crank the volume up and play a big chord and it was just incredible. It was like playing a video game on god mode. Afterwards she gave me a personal performance of the Widor Toccata. It was truly awesome. It was one of those experiences that makes me appreciate classical music and it reminded me why I love it so much. r/classicalmusic, what are some special musical moments you've had?
