Dear redditors of the world, are the countries where you live as sue-happy as the USofA?

I recently read a thread about harsh advice and the topic of fighting came up. I was extremely bothered by the fact that many people simply said, "let them fight you or hit you and make sure people see it so you can sue them." "I don't care if I lose a fight as long as a sue them and take all their money." I seriously feel to afraid to do anything or say anything to someone for fear that I will be sued.

Does anyone else agree with this, have varying opinions? Also are the countries which you all are from as obsessed with suing? or is this mainly an American thing?
