[Tech issue] bin errors, and unresponsive zombies.

I'm wanting to play Dayz but have had a ton of errors trying to get it to work. I was able to play for an hour or so, but could not find any zombies and when i finally did, they were entirely unresponsive, and didn't react to my presence like I'm assuming they're supposed to. I have ran the updater, downloaded the beta, and as far as i know, installed correctly according to the installation guide posted. I'm also getting errors at boot saying bin cfg_weapons is missing. Any help of information would b appreciated. I've also gotten stuck at the in-game loading screen after the lobby.
