Will the new MacBook Pro — Retina run Avid Media Composer 6.0?
I've got no experience with Avid but I'm going to be a film production major in the fall and my college is forcing me to switch from FCP to Avid. I've found that Avid is a bit iffy on Macs so, with the new Retina MacBook Pro, I'm gitty but nervous.
I've saved up enough so that I can max out the new MBP. Because of this, it appears that it exceeds all of Avid's existing hardware requirements but I want to be positive before I shell out the cash in this upgrade. I'll be ordering it with this hardware setup...
- 2.7GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.7GHz
- 16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
- 768GB Flash Storage
I assume Avid will run but is anyone sure?
Thanks so much for your help!
