How has advice given by reddit turned out for you? Big or small, good or bad?

I first joined reddit to ask a relationship/friendship question and got 'no contact, delete facebook, join the gym' advice. At the time, I didn't realise it was the 'ol reddit standard, thought it was pretty good advice, so took it. It's been a while, and I'm much happier now than I was then, but there are times I wish I hadn't taken that advice.

So, how has reddit advice turned out for you?
