COD Player Here: Question For BF3 Peeps
-
Why so much hate for COD players? I used to play Halo, and we hated on COD players too. But once I played MW3 I just couldn't go back to Reach graphics.
-
I tried to play Battlefield. MW3 has no vehicles online, which bothers me. I like driving, flying, etc. So, considering purchasing the game, I borrowed it from a friend to try it out and see if I wanted to buy it. Pop it in, screw the campaign, I want to get a feel for the awesome multiplayer. Immediately greeted by a screen notifying me I need a voucher code or some junk, and if I don't have one I can get one for like $10. This made me mad as shit. I already pay about 60/yr for XBox Live. I am therefore entitled to play on XBox Live. Now EA wants to raise that to 70/yr, not for access to premium content, DLC, or any kind of elite-level player membership, but to simply access the game's online matchmaking. How do you deal with this?

Is there something similar to COD Elite, and is there DLC? IE, after you pay their petty $10 cover charge(friends' advice, related: NEVER waste your time at a club that charges cover) do you still have more to pay for DLC, and more to pay for an elite membership?
tl:dr; questions related to COD vs BF and whether the BF community puts up with EA's patronizing attitude or the BF community is ticked about it.
**edit: upvotes for my friendly commentators :) **
