Why do girls find tattoos on guys as such a turn on?

Over the years I have noticed that more women I meet, or come across love a guy with tattoos. They are immediately turned on by a guy that has tattoos. Don't get me wrong I think tattoos are great and that for the most part if the tattoo is original then more power to that person for getting one. What I don't get though is a lot of guys and girls that have tattoos are usually the main stream cliche tattoos people get. If anything , that tells me that person is shallow and has no creativity but wanted to get the tattoo cause it is cool so then they go get a typical dime a dozen tattoo like a barb wire, tribal tattoo, butterfly, nautical stars on their shoulders, etc. I am sorry if I offended people on here with those tattoos and I am sure you got those types of tattoos for a personal meaning to yourself but then again may have gotten it to impress someone or just cause it was the thing to do.
