What's the best way to clean the smell of decaying flesh?

The breaker in my garage clicked off, and I didn't catch it for a week. The freezer was full of frozen fish and meat. It smells rancid. The freezer still works, so I need to clean it somehow. What's the best way to make the smell go away and how can I not pass out from the bad smells while I clean it?
