Made top 4 are the Kitchener PTQ using BG-infect

Today I went out to the my first PTQ in Kitchener with my trusty BG infect deck (found here). My expectations were not too high. I thought I'd go about .500 with a chance at top 16 prizes (in a field of ~150).

A little luck in both my rolls for first turn, along with favorable matchups saw me go 7-1 in the round robin portion to place 1st overall going into the top 8. I played many ramp decks, and only a single delver deck in the last round.

In the quarter finals, I faced off against another u/w delver deck. I lost game one while on the play, but managed to win game 2 on the play. Game 3 I was on the draw. Turn 4, I had a Phyrexian Crusader on the board while he had a Restoration Angel and a Geist of st. Traft untapped with all his lands tapped. 2 titanic growths later and I was on to the semis!

I met another UW delver deck in the semis, and after winning game 1 while on the play, I lost game 2 and 3. Game 3 especially, it appeared my luck had finally run out. I couldn't maintain any creature presence long enough to smash through and finish the game.

But alas, I still top 4'd with an...interesting deck. My sideboard certainly has room for improvement in it to help against delver. Needless to say I had a fantastic (albeit long) day of playing Magic. The shock and confusion on my opponents faces as they realized what I was playing was well worth it!

Edit: tl;dr Played BG infect at Kitchener PTQ and top 4'd, losing to UW delver in the semis.

Edit 2: Should be "at the Kitchener PTQ", not "are the Kitchener PTQ". Guess I'm more tired than I thought...
