Don't underestimate haze, kids!
Commercial night solo cross-country from KEWB to KBDR. 102 miles each way with 8 mile visibility. At times I thought it was night IMC. If i wasn't intrument rated I would have turned around in a heartbeat. The sun hasnt fully set in the first picture but you can still see how much the haze effects you. At least I picked up some good ground speed on the way home ;]
