Is it bad to find pick up attempts (sometimes very blunt) from past hookups not only not demeaning, but flattering?

If a man that I have slept with or hooked up with in the past approaches me or texts me suggesting we get together again, sometimes my girlfriends tell me it's insulting or demeaning if they ask in an unchivalrous or very straight forward manner.

But if the only thing I am interested in these guys for is sex, and he wants to hook up again, I feel like this means they found it good the previous time(s) too, so I like hearing from them again. Is this bad?
