Why no dates on Avacyn promos?

I was going through all my mates promo cards and saw they were all dated and realised that the Avacyn Restored promos i had had no dates on them! This really pissed me off because i never had the money to get to participate and get a cool promo card and they decided not to date it. What the fuck? Does anybody know the reason as to why?
