Is there anyone left in Chicago willing to take on one of the Big Irish Families?

So we have all seen the black and white episodes of The Untouchables, but who is the current day Elliot Ness? Who do you go to if your State's Attorney's office is questionable (McHenry County - let's see who's been reading up on indictments!)? Who gets involved when a politically entrenched Chicago family - meaning not one person, but Several persons - violates multiple civil rights laws and used political connections for wrongful arrest and malicious prosecution? Where is the Walter Jacobson of the 70's and 80's - unafraid to expose corrupt Chicago and have a real opinion? Although this post has the feeling of a rant, it is a true question. The best the White House could offer was a re-direct not to DOJ... but to local FBI... where more of the Family collects tax dollars. Can't go to Springfield - more Family there. Really? Is that the best Illinois can do? Is that the best future I can offer to my child? Just say, "Be glad you are one of them and not against them." Reddit, please, who is the modern day Nader for Illinois?
