How to internet?

I finished my first build today, and it went off pretty much without a hitch. However, now that Windows is installed and everything, I realized I don't have any internet. I do have a laptop with wireless and an Ethernet cable, but this isn't working for some reason.

I also have one of these but Windows isn't recognizing it.
