Advice on sales and advertisement

Hi Everyone,

We are looking at our options for increasing our sales in the commercial hygiene sector. So, our website is getting redesigned, and we are reviewing our business plan in order to get the numbers on what we actually need to get this thing going into the major leagues.

So currently: We've been established as a cleaning company for nearly two years now. We have some commercial and residential clients and we are profitable. We want to increase our commercial operations substantially and would like to know which avenues are feasible. Here are my thoughts so far and I'd like your feedback

Our market is the Greater Montreal Area (3.8 million people) which has a good (but declining) pharmaceutical industry base and a still good aerospace industry. Retail is also very strong and, as other places with that many people, health care is also good. Construction and the like is also booming.

Adwords Adwords are great and we've had some data on using them. However, since we are a localized business, there is a limit to how much you can advertise on it. We found that up to 36K a year budget would yield a fairly linear growth in revenue.

Salespeople We think B2B would be served well with sales people. Now, I have no data from this (since us 3 partners aren't really good at this, we aren't generating any data). By my estimations, we would need to get 2 of them to speed up the growth to the maximum.

General Print ads, TV ads and others I don't think that any type of general print ads (includes newspapers and billboards) and TV ads would be a good use of money since they aren't targeted at businesses

Targeted Print Ads Obviously, we could put ads in targeted publications that deal with the businesses we are targeting. This is an avenue that will be explored.

Other (free-ish) things PR, using newspaper articles and talking about office hygiene and the like is something that we are going to do. We have the in-house knowledge for most of this so the costs will be very low.

So, I'd like to have your feedback on ways to advertise and increase sales. Also, if you have sales data on these methods, that would be awesome.
