Any ladies out there who have had either a D&C or myomectomy (hysteroscopic) to remove fibroids?

I had both of the above procedures on June 5. I bled for over a month straight prior to the surgery (my hemoglobin dropped by nearly half in less than 2 weeks) but have had no bleeding since, except for spotting for 2-3 days immediately following. Today, I started cramping and light bleeding, I'm assuming I'm starting my period. Since I didn't really "have" a cycle prior to the surgery, I had no idea when it would come.

My question is, is this too soon? My uterine lining was completely cleaned out with the procedure. Moreover, what were your experiences like in the period cycles following your surgery? Were your periods worse? Better? Longer? Shorter?
