Need advice, should I or should I not?

Here's the deal, I currently drive a supercharged S2000 which I am in the process of getting ready to sell. I will be asking around $17,000 for the car and whatever I purchase next I'd like to be around $13,000 when all said and done. I've loved 240's-280z's ever since I saw one and have always wanted one, and now I'll have the money freed up from selling my S to possibly get one, and I'd like to get your opinion on whether or not the car would be a good fit for me.

so; I have a $13,000 budget. I can't stand unreliable motors, so I would most likely be buying a 240-280 shell and putting in a modern motor of some sort. I am not mechanically knowledgeable enough to put in a motor myself, so I'd have to pay a shop to do it. I also have OCD about paint/dents. I can't stand scratches or door dings which means I'd need a new spray. The car would be my daily driver, back and fourth from med school so it would have to be extremely reliable.

With all that said, would you recommend I take the plunge and get a Datsun? if so, would I be able to stay in budget? And what modern motor swaps in easiest?
