Just another rage about sex education in the southern US.
So, I just had to share a quick rage about American sex education, which I know is pretty common on this subreddit. But seriously, I just figured out that my boyfriend is circumcised, and it was because I had never in my life been taught about the basics of male genitalia. My partner (who is, as is probably obvious by now, my first) and I have been sexual for months now, and I had never even thought to ask- though we have good communication about everything else, sexual or otherwise. It just feels wrong that I had to do a google search on my own, in my 20s, to realize that there was a difference. And that I had to do another one 6 months ago to figure out that the clit was not actually in the vagina.
Damn it, I went to public school in a relatively cosmopolitan area of Atlanta. How is this ok?
