How did this possum get there and how do I get it out? - http://i.imgur.com/31Xai.jpg
So this is my first possum experience that's not involved just watching them from afar. Only lived in Brisbane for 4 years... Not exactly sure what Spiderman moves it had to use to get into the underside of an umbrella like that but good on it. So what happens now? Will it somehow climb back down tonight or do I need to call a guy. I can't think how it would have gotten up to the balcony since there are no trees that touch the building. Maybe it's been stuck on the roof since last weekend when the council cleared a bunch (that did reach the roof tiles?)
The be clear, the cats were locked inside at night and they're indoor cats to the end that they've never set foot on earth since leaving RSPCA.
Do I gotta call 'the guy' and does any one have any recommendations.
If the possum becomes are permanent resident then I'll call the big one 'Bitey'.
edit: Here's another happy snap of the dude just hanging around - http://i.imgur.com/YXISm.jpg
edit 2: It's been 6 hours since I first noticed it and it's still hang there. No worries I guess. The cats lost interest after the first 20 minutes and have been sleeping indoors as usual. They'll be locked in again tonight. Hopefully the little guy is gone in the morning and doesn't come back. It's already dropped a few pellet surprises :-D
